Hey Made to Glow readers! Many thanks to Alex for having me on her blog today!
Be sure to read until the end, I’m giving you a free recipe book of body scrubs to use after your body wash that will make your skin glow!
I’m excited to share this recipe for an all-natural citrus body wash with you all. Like Alex, I’m all about non-toxic living. I really got into it when I got pregnant in September. All of a sudden I had a little person who was being exposed to any chemicals that I was being exposed to. I immediately ditched perfume, bought chemical-free shampoo and conditioner, and made my own body wash.
Once you make the switch to non-toxic products, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!
Whether you’re just starting your journey towards a chemical-free lifestyle, or you’re a total pro, you’ll love this body wash! It’s super easy to whip up and it leaves your skin clean and moisturized- unlike some storebought body washes that can strip your skin of its natural oils. I also included vitamin E oil in this recipe. It’s fantastic for healing and nourishing skin, and it also happens to be a natural preservative! This is the one I use daily, and I love the citrus scent. It’s sweet and refreshing.
1/2 cup of unscented castile soap (I like Dr Bronner’s baby soap)
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of grapeseed oil
1 tablespoon of vitamin E oil
20 drops orange essential oil
10 drops of lemon essential oil
10 drops of grapefruit essential oil
Pour all ingredients into a bottle. I like to use a bottle from an old body wash that I’ve emptied and rinsed out. Shake before each use. Lather up and enjoy the uplifting citrus scent!
If you want, you can try out other essential oils and create your own custom scent. Try lavender for a calming scent, or peppermint for an invigorating scent! The sky’s the limit when it comes to blending essential oils.
I hope you all give this recipe a try!
As promised, here’s your free recipe book of 6 Body Scrubs for Glowing Skin to use after your body wash!
